The Scoble Googlereader masterclass

Picked up from Steve Rubel an 11 minute video of how Robert Scoble uses Google reader to share interesting items from his 622 feeds on his link blog.

Some interesting stuff here for bloggers and publishers wanting to maximise their traffic;

- Putting a graphic in every post slows the eye and keeps the user's attention
- Headlines that are keyword dense work better
- More internal links mean authoritative content
- Most likely to read dramatic new developments or items covering a 'battlefront' between two issues eg Flash Vs Silverlight

Some google reading tips;

- Use the 'j' and 'k' keyboard shortcuts to move forward and back
- Read the all items feed in full view
- Watch the patterns emerge of who people are linking to and add them into your own feed over time

or

Don't do it at all as ignorance is bliss!'
